Just 15 Minutes from Columbus

Blacklick is a small, unincorporated community in the Columbus Metropolitan area, located adjacent to Gahanna. Founded as a stop on the railroad line, the area is situated at the intersection of the railroad station and High Street. The community took its name from Blacklick Creek, a tributary of Big Walnut Creek, which flows through the area. Blacklick is the site of Jefferson Cemetery, established in 1896. Students attend schools in the Gahanna-Jefferson School District.

With a short 15 minute drive, you can be in downtown Columbus and experience everything that Ohio’s capital city has to offer. Sports fans can root for the National Hockey League Columbus Blue Jackets or support the Columbus Crew at the nation’s only stadium dedicated to Major League Soccer. Buckeye supporters can attend any number of Division 1A sporting events at The Ohio State University . A wide variety of concerts and shows play at Nationwide Arena and the historic Ohio Theatre hosts artists and performances from around the world. The Palace Theatre , inspired by Versailles, is one of the most active theaters in the Columbus area and you can watch independent films and view art exhibits at the Wexner Center for the Arts .

Museums abound in Columbus including the Center of Science and Industry (COSI), the Kelton House Museum and Garden, the Central Ohio Fire Museum and the Ohio Historical Society. You’ll find unique shopping and dining in the many downtown districts including German Village, Short North, North Market and Italian Village.

Just 15 minutes from downtown is the nationally known Easton Town Center where you can shop world-renowned department stores, enjoy relaxing spa treatments, take advantage of a 24-hour fitness facility or choose from an array of dining establishments. For the occasional escape or business trip, Blacklick is conveniently located 20 minutes from the Port Columbus International Airport.
